About International Goju Karate Schools

International Goju Karate Schools was founded in Perth in 2002 by Sensei Rod Darling. He has learned many styles over the years but his main influences have been the great Hanshi Tino Ceberano, 9th dan and his son Shihan Paul Ceberano, 5th dan. He founded the club in the hope of spreading the vast benefits of karate to as many people as possible throughout Australia.

The club has had incredible growth in recent years with hundreds of students in the Perth metropolitan area training out of over 20 different locations. The club continues to expand rapidly and has aspirations of expanding interstate in the near future.

Students are taught traditional Goju karate with modern methods of teaching, with a huge emphasis on having fun while learning. As a supplementary syllabus, students can also study a variety of weapons.

Sensei Rod Darling and his business partner Sensei Paul Newton started Kanga Karate  in 2006, brought about by a growing demand for even younger kids (3 year olds!) to get involved. Kanga Karate has been specifically designed to do this.

This exercise program promotes healthy living and will boost your child's self-esteem in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
